Kevin Martin, curling legend, was recently inducted into the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame. On hand for the ceremony were Kalamazoo's Steve Secreast, Debbie Eckstrand, and Garnet Eckstrand, a longtime friend of Mr. Martin.
As representatives of the Kalamazoo Curling Club, they presented Olympic gold medalist Martin with a plaque, and a lifetime membership to the Kalamazoo Curling Club. Does this increase our chances of hosting The Old Bear at a future Kalamazoo event? Time will tell, but remember my friend, future events such as these will affect YOU in the future!
At the evening's dinner, Martin spent some time picking Garnet Eckstrand's brain, looking for that nugget of curling knowledge that could have landed him in the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame — oh, wait. Never mind.
